Terms of Service
The plain-English agreement for using MockLive AI. Creating an account or using the service means accepting it, so it is written to be read in one sitting.

What MockLive AI is
MockLive AI is an AI-powered practice tool for job interviews and IELTS speaking. It simulates an interviewer, listens to your spoken answers, and gives you feedback and estimated scores. It is a practice aid — nothing more.
- Feedback and scores are AI estimates to help you improve. They are not guarantees of real interview or exam outcomes, they can be inconsistent between runs, and they can be confidently wrong. Weigh them against your own judgement.
- IELTS band estimates are practice guidance only and are not official IELTS scores. MockLive AI is independent and not affiliated with IELTS, the British Council, IDP, or Cambridge Assessment English.
- Nothing here is career, legal, or immigration advice.
Your account
- Give an accurate email address and keep your login secure. You're responsible for activity under your account.
- You must be old enough to consent to this agreement in your country — at least 18, or the age of majority where you live.
- One account per person. Sharing a single account across several people is not permitted.
- You can delete your account and all its data at any time from your account page. It takes effect immediately.
Acceptable use
Please don't:
- Use MockLive during a real interview or exam. This is a rehearsal room, not an earpiece. Using it to obtain answers in a live assessment misrepresents you to an employer or examiner, and it is grounds for closing your account.
- Resell, redistribute, or share access to the service or its output as if it were an official assessment. For teams and institutions, talk to us about Enterprise instead.
- Attempt to break, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service, extract the interviewer prompts and rubrics, or bypass usage limits.
- Upload content you have no right to share — including someone else's resume or personal information — or anything unlawful, hateful, or harmful.
- Use the service to impersonate a real person or organisation.
We may suspend or close accounts that abuse the service, in order to protect other users and keep costs sustainable. For anything short of serious misuse we'll tell you why first and give you a chance to put it right.
Payments and passes
A free allowance lets you try the service. Beyond that, you can buy a practice pass: a set number of sessions, valid for a fixed period from the date of purchase. The number of sessions and the validity period are shown on the pass before you pay, and again on your receipt. Unused sessions end when the pass ends.
Passes are one-time purchases. There is no subscription and no automatic renewal — we never charge you again unless you buy another pass. Prices vary by market and are set by your card's billing country; the exact price is shown before you pay. Payments are processed by our payment provider; we don't see or store your card details. Refunds are covered by our refund & cancellation policy, which forms part of these terms.
We may change prices for future purchases. A pass you have already bought keeps the terms it was bought on.
Your content and privacy
You keep ownership of what you provide — your resume, your answers, your recordings and your code. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service: to process your session, produce your results, and store them for you until you delete them.
We do not use your content to train AI models, and neither do our providers. How we handle and delete your data is set out in our privacy policy, which is part of these terms.
The rest — the interviewer personas, their rubrics, the software and the brand — remains ours, and using the product doesn't transfer any of it to you.
No warranty; limits
The service is provided “as is.” We work hard to make it reliable and helpful, but we can't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that its feedback will match any real interviewer or examiner. Sessions depend on third-party speech, voice and language services, and when one of those fails, part of the product fails with it.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything connected with the service is limited to what you paid us in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost job offers, lost income, or lost opportunity.
If a paid session is lost to a fault on our side, tell us and we'll restore the session — that's the practical remedy and we'd rather give it than argue about it.
Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited. If you're a consumer, you keep every right your local consumer law gives you, regardless of what this page says.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction. If you're a consumer elsewhere, this doesn't deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws of your own country.
Changes and contact
We'll update this page when the product changes and move the date at the top. For changes that materially affect your rights we'll email account holders rather than rely on you re-reading the page. Continuing to use MockLive after a change means accepting it; if you'd rather not, delete your account and we'll refund any unused pass.
